Memoirs of an air fryer: A fail-proof guide to the best-baked potato.

First, here's your basic 'how to', guide. Next up, is a little background on why potatoes shouldn't be feared or labeled as 'bad' food. I assure you, when eaten the right way, they are the exact opposite.

'How To'

Chop potatoes into 3cm cubes. Wash and pat dry. Place in the freezer for 15 to dry them out (this is the key to crispness)

In a bowl, toss potatoes with a drizzle of oil (no more than 1 tbsp), garlic powder (1tsp.), Italian seasoning or Cajun seasoning (to taste). Season well with salt and pepper.

Preheat the air fryer to 200 for 5 mins

Place potatoes in the air fryer basket and cook at 200° for 10 minutes.

Shake basket, stir potatoes, and cook until the potatoes are golden and tender, 8 to 10 minutes more.

Optional: Squeeze lemon juice over cooked potatoes and garnish with parsley before serving.
